Riverside Community Water Safety Training

What's involved?

Delivered by the award-winning Thames Skills Academy, you will gain lifesaving skills and confidence to know what to do if you or a member of the public falls into the Thames.  The training starts inside at a venue close to the Thames before practical training by the Thames and finally a review of learning.  There is the opportunity to purchase a throw line to take back to your premises.

What will I learn?

This course will help you to:

• Be aware of the hidden dangers of the River Thames and to take steps to minimise the risk of being in or near water 
• Use a throw line and life ring 
• Learn what to do if you, a colleague or a member of the public gets into trouble in or near the water 
• Give you the confidence to be able to react quickly in a dramatic situation
