TSA to showcase at London International Shipping Week aboard Driftwoods at Tower Bridge Quay, London

The Thames Skills Academy (TSA) will be showcasing at the Port of London Authority’s (PLA) Sustainability & Innovation Showcase on 18 September 2025, marking London International Shipping Week (LISW) with a celebration of skills, inclusion and safety on the River Thames.
The event, running 9:00–12:00 and 12:30–15:30 brings together key figures from across the maritime sector, highlighting TSA’s work on:
- Pioneering Boatmaster and Engineering apprenticeships to train the next generation of river professionals
- Introducing the first UK port-wide Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme for all Masters on the Thames
- Expanding diversity in the industry through initiatives such as Careers on the Thames and the Women on the Thames network
- Enhancing safety along the river through award-winning Riverside Personal Safety training and Suicide Intervention Training
Current and recently qualified apprentices will join the TSA stand to share their experiences and perspectives, offering a first-hand look at the opportunities and rewards of building a career on the Thames.
