TSA launches first Maritime Engineering Apprenticeship on the Thames

The Thames Skills Academy, working in partnership with the Company of Watermen and Lightermen, is hosting a Maritime Engineering Apprenticeship Open Day with South Essex College.

TSA launches first Maritime Engineering Apprenticeship on the Thames 

• Find out about this exciting new apprenticeship which is being delivered at the request of the TSA to meet Thames’ employers needs 
• Hear from Simon Lofting CMI, recently appointed as Head of Maritime Engineering at South Essex College after 30 years’ experience in marine diesel engines.  Simon will explain how the apprenticeship is delivered 
• Hear from a current employer on the benefits an apprentice can bring to your business 
• Discover how you will access at least 95% of the £26,000 cost of the training 
• Learn how you can upskill and certificate your current employees and access new talent into your business

Refreshments will be served from 10.30am for an 11am start, followed by a sandwich lunch from 1pm. A tour of Watermen’s Hall will be available (upon request) at 2pm.
