New Passenger Vessel Operations Code of Practice published

The Passenger Vessel Operations Code of Practice for the tidal Thames has been updated for the fourth time since it was first published a decade ago.
The Code of Practice is now being led by Thames Skills Academy, in collaboration with the PLA, London River Services, British Marine, Company of Watermen and Lightermen, London Coastguard and the Marine Policing Unit.
Katherine Riggs, chief executive of the Thames Skills Academy said: “This user-friendly, comprehensive guidance is aimed at operators and masters of passenger vessels, to enhance safety on the tidal Thames, as demand for services and use of the river continue to increase.
