Careers on the Thames at NJIRC24: A day to remember

The TSA was thrilled to showcase CareersOnTheThames at this year's incredible National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships - #NJIRC24!

Our team, along with apprentices from Cory Group, Thames Clippers, Woods' Silver Fleet and City Cruises, had the privilege of inspiring and guiding students towards exciting career opportunities in the inland waterways sector. It was heartening to witness the enthusiasm and curiosity of the young minds present.

Special shout-out to Skyla, Lillie, Nadia, Callum, Marla, and Erik from our member organisations for their fantastic engagement, instruction, and encouragement during our activities. Your contribution made a significant impact!

Congratulations to Max & Hayden from Haverstock School, the lightning-fast winners of the Pairs games, completing matching the River Thames facts in a staggering 31 seconds!  Also, a big applause to Qiyyamah from Townley Grammar & Guy from Poole Grammar, joint winners of the Rope The Cleat activity.

A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors - City Cruises, Thames RIB Experience, Cory Group and Thames Clippers for donating amazing prizes. The winners are in for some fantastic experiences including river roamer tickets, RIB blasts, family river passes, and a tug trip along the river!
